- Dalton, April 1972. Home of Daniel Earnest Allen and his wife, Susan Reese Harris Allen, located at the corner of Hawthorne and Underwood Streets. Their children were Ivan Earnest, Mary Ruth, and William Harris. Ivan was to become a prominent businessman and civic leader in Atlanta. The home was later occupied by Mary Ruth Allen Thomas and her husband, John.
