- Washington County, ca. 1921-1922. Members of the Sisters Community Club and the 4-H Club take part in a demonstration on canning and butter making held at the home of Mrs. Ben R. Tanner. Sisters Community Club was organized in 1919 as a canning club and became federated in 1921. It may be the first home demonstration club in the state. Left to right: Kathryn Tanner, Gladys Tanner, Florence Grimes, L. Grimes, Frances Champion, Ruby Thompson (home demonstration agent), Mrs. J. L. Champion, Mrs. Ben R. Tanner, Mrs. Willie Hugh Jenkins.
