- Description:
- Washington County, 1967. This land had been mined of kaolin. It was planted with grasses in an effort to reclaim the land. Varying amounts of several fertilizers were used in an attempt to determine which combination would produce the best results. The photograph was taken several months after the planting in was214 had taken place. The Thiele Kaolin Company may have been involved in this reclamation process.
