- Sandersville, 1948. Smith's Mortuary located on Gilmore Street. This business was begun in January 1931 as M. C. Smith's Funeral Home and was located on Lovett Street. It moved to this location in the early 1940s. It is said to have been the first black business in Sandersville.
2003/07/10: Smith's Mortuary is again called M C Smith's Funeral Home is still at 117 Gilmore Street in Sandersville. - External Identifiers:
