- Washington County, 1966-1967. Close-up view of one of the dovetailed corners of the smokehouse on the Francis Plantation. The plantation is located near Davisboro on Josey Church Road. The land which comprises the plantation was obtained by Cordall Francis in 1783. The plantation house was built by W. B. Francis circa 1856. Both land and house have been in the Francis family ever since.
