- American location unknown, ca. 1859. An interesting role reversal as interpreted by this photographer of this "genre" stereoview entitled "White Slave". The white shoeshine boy is polishing the shoes of a dapper black gentlemen. Note the anti-slavery broadsides posted on the "wall" in the background.
