- "1891. Eliza C. Davis, born 3-3-1819, died 4-6-1904. She was allegedly the sister of Jefferson Davis. She lived in Missouri (Shelby County) and therefore fought for the North and didn't claim kinship to Jeff Davis. Her husband was Jonathan Rogers, who was born 2-27-1813 and died 9-30-1903. They married 2-13-1840."--from field notes
