- LaGrange, 1894-1899. Meat market operated by Eldridge Gibson Walker, Sr. was located on Ridley Avenue on the square. Mr. Walker, front left, began the business at age 31 and ran it for about five years. Ernest Brewer, black man at front right, was a helper in the market.
