2003/07/17: Owned by the Perkins Lumber Company, the railway which was to become the Register and Glennville Railroad opened in 1895 as a logging road. In 1902, the Perkins Lumber Company converted the line to that of a common carrier, renaming it the Register and Glennville Railroad. The R & G Railroad was sold and renamed the East Georgia Railway in 1914. The line was abandoned in 1919. - External Identifiers:
