- Ringgold, 1898. This home located about 5 1/2 miles northeast of Griffin was built in the late 1860s by John[...?] Wise after he returned home from the Civil War. Occupants of home at this time were, left to right: Mr. and Mrs. Tom Richard Nutt, Wyle Nutt. Daughters, left to right: Tommie Nutt, Margurette Nutt. Black boys left to right: Ed Dorsey, Howard Dorsey. Note that the girls are holding their dolls.See spl071 for 1960's view of this home.
