- Rockdale County, 1953. Smyrna Campground, associated with Smyrna Presbyterian Church, is located about four miles south of Conyers. Records of the campground date back to 1831. The campground may be one of only two such Presbyterian campgrounds remaining in the country.
2003/07/08: The Smyrna Campground is currently located in Panola Mt. State Conservation Park. Located on a granite mountain in south Rockdale, The Smyrna Campground was where old fashion camp meetings have been held since before the Civil War. It also is home to the city of Conyers Georgia International Horse Park, site of the 1996 Olympic Equestrian events. - External Identifiers:
