- Rockdale County, 1944. Trappist monks at the Monastery of the Holy Spirit in front of a brick barn which served as a primitive monastery from March to December 1944. At that time they were able to move into more permanent quarters. The barn is currently used as a livestock barn. The monastery is located southwest of Conyers.
