- Cuthbert, ca. 1916. Etheldra Prothro King (Mrs. Walter Ernest) was born February 9, 1886 and died March 6, 1962. In this photograph, taken when she was about thirty years old, she is dressed for the opera. Mrs. King was especially active in gardening. She was the third president of the Cuthbert Garden Club and served in that capacity for about thirteen years. She was instrumental in the establishment of Iris Garden in Cuthbert, a garden and park facing College Street.
