- Cuthbert, ca. 1920s. Doctor Frederick Davis Patterson was born April 6, 1867 and died December 31, 1930. He established the Patterson Hospital in Cuthbert in January of 1916. The hospital is still in existence, although today it is not privately operated. Doctor Patterson was a graduate of the Vanderbilt School of Medicine. He was active in community affairs and served the medical profession in a number of positions.
