- (Mexican Border), 1916. Members of Georgia Field Hospital Number One pose for a photograph in their uniforms. This army unit may have been a Georgia National Guard unit called into active service. Dr. Job Caldwell Patterson (seated, second from left) was a captain in this unit. Later he joined his uncle, Dr. Frederick Davis Patterson, at the Patterson Hospital in Cuthbert, Georgia.
