- Clayton, 1944. Lillian Eugenia Smith (1897-1966) walking along Main Street in downtown Clayton. She was a noted author. She was director of the Laurel Falls Camp from ca. 1925 until 1949. The camp had been begun by her father, Rev. C. W. Smith, in 1920.
