- Clayton, early 1940s. Doctor J. A. Green examines a baby. Dr. Green was one of the founders of the Rabun County Maternity Home which opened Nov. 20, 1942. Women from Rabun County and surrounding counties came to it to have their babies. This photograph may have been taken at the home.
