- Clayton, 1944. New, more modern Rabun County Maternity Home which replaced the original one that had opened Nov. 20, 1942. Josephine Brewer Kinman, the director, is seen standing beside the patients' beds. A grant from the John Bulow Campbell Foundation in 1944 was of great assistance in making this second home possible. Women from Rabun County and surrounding counties came here to have their babies.
