- (Franklin, N. C.), May 16, 1916. Confederate veterans who had gotten together for a reunion seen standing around the depot. The Tallulah Falls Railroad served this area. At its completion in 1907 it ran from Cornelia, Ga. to Franklin, N.C., a distance of 58 miles. It operated for 54 years.
