- Rabun County, 1911. Apple orchard of John A. Reynolds. Mr. Reynolds (1851-1936) came to Clayton in 1898 where he established the Clayton Tribune. In addition to publishing this newspaper for many years, he served as county surveyor; was a civil engineer; and owned and managed apple orchards. He often exhibited his apples and other fruits and vegetables at the Georgia State Fair held in Macon.
