- near Tallulah Falls, ca. 1900. Chance Vickers and W. S. Long sit in a surrey pulled by mules at a camp located near the site where construction on the Tallulah Falls Railroad was in progress. At its completion in 1907 the railroad ran from Cornelia, Ga. to Franklin, N.C., a distance of 58 miles. It operated for 54 years.
