- Description:
- "Tallulah Falls, c. 1930s. "Old Hotel" at Tallulah Falls. This hotel at Tallulah Falls was known by locals as the "Old Hotel." People came from all over Georgia (and the nation) to vacation and/or to rejuvenate themselves by bathing in the springs of the surrounding area. They came via the Tallulah Falls Railroad, known as the T. F. Railroad. In its day, the hotel was very plush; today, it still stands, but has been vandalized and is dilapidated. Probably built in the early 1800s."--from field notes
