- near Clayton, 1923. Joe Crawford, a riding instructor at Laurel Falls Camp, on Sheik. The camp was begun in 1920 by Rev. C. W. Smith. His daughter, Lillian Eugenia Smith (1897-1966), was director of the camp from ca. 1925 until 1949.
