- "January 25, 1884. Born without arms, Ann E. Thompson (Leak) poses with an unidentified man and boy. An inscription written by Anne with her feet on the obverse of the photograph reads. "Think of the absent. Anne E. L. Thompson. Born without arms, Dec. 23, 1839, Georgia. Taken in San Francisco, Jan. 25, 1884." The location of the origination of this photograph is unknown, however Ann Leak Thompson was from Zebulon, Georgia.
