- Description:
- Fort Benning, 1941. These barracks were constructed in 1941 for the World War II mobilization effort. They were temporary-to be used for five years. Due to economic considerations, they are still in use. Note middle roof line called madia-aqua, a design to prevent water from collecting on top of the building.
