- Forsyth, ca. 1900. Ariston, the home built ca. 1830s by James S. Pinckard. It is located at 219 Brooklyn Avenue. It is said that during the Civil War, this was one of the private homes in Forsyth that was used as a Confederate hospital. Since 1936 it has been in the Newton family.
