- Monroe County, 1932. Red Star Filling Station. This service station which sold Texaco products was located along U.S. Highway 41 between Griffin and Macon. It is reputed to have been the first full service station in the area. Left to right: R.L. Biddick, Charlie Garrett, Gene Waifes.
