- Description:
- Forsyth, Sept. 7, 1952. Interior of the First Baptist Church showing the wedding party on the occasion of Sarah Brown's marriage to Harold Ham. The church is located at the corner of Church and Morse Streets. The organ seen in the background was purchased from Tift College in 1922. It was originally a waterpowered organ but was converted to electricity. The organ was replaced in 1953.
2003/07/09: Tift College merged with Mercer University in 1986. With the merger, Mercer promised to uphold the heritage and ideals of the original Tift College. Mercer University maintains a Tift College alumni office. - External Identifiers:
