- Description:
- McDuffie County, 1953-1954. Lawmen pose for a photograph on the site of a moonshine still fired by a steam boiler which they discovered in the Rousseau section of the county located north of Thomson. The boiler and cookers can be seen as well as a fire hose which was used to pump water from a nearby creek to the still. At the far right are sacks of sugar and grain products and the jars used to distribute the moonshine. The Dodge truck was used to transport the product. Left to right: Boyce Norris, McDuffie County Sheriff Lynn J. Norris, unidentified revenue agent, revenue agent Charlie Tudor, Robert Phillips.
