- Thomson, 1889. Ruins of the store owned by David Fife Irving located on Main Street. It was destroyed by fire. Hadaway's is located on the site now. Charles Edward Knox is standing beside the archway leading to the Knox Hotel which he began operating in 1882. The hotel had been built ca. 1850 by Joseph Henry Stockton and was known at that time as the Greenway Hotel.
