- Thomson, ca. 1947. Knox Brothers Lumber Company truck loaded with the pieces of a prefabricated house. The company was located on Railroad Street and was one of the first in the area to build such homes. An assembly line process was used to manufacture the pieces of the home. The company had been established in 1932 by Wyck A. and Peter S., Junior Knox. Lawrence and Robert E. Knox were also associated with its operations. The company was later purchased by National Homes.
