- Thomson, 1947? Ruben A. Kunnes. He was a prominent businessman and civic leader in the city. In the 1920 he had interests in lumber and in a box factory. He purchased an abandoned cotton mill in order to turn it over to the Thomson Company for use as a manufacturing plant in 1936.
