- McDuffie County, 1943. Top: Farmers's Egg Market located on the highway to Augusta was begun by the Thomson Board of Trade. Offices for the Department of Agriculture are currently housed here. Bottom: Cattle wait in pens at the stockyard which was located off U.S. Highway 78. The stockyard is no longer in operation.
