- Thomson, ca. 1910-1915. The plant where Thomas Edward Watson (1856-1922) published his Watson's Jeffersonian Magazine and his Watson's Jeffersonian Weekly. This structure was reportedly only about one hundred yards from his home known as Hickory Hill. Watson was a lawyer, publisher, member of both houses of the U.S. Congress and advocated populist views.
