- Description:
- "Jones County, ca. 1915. There is only one view of the house from this angle. The house was built in 1810 by Henry Cabiness. The house and farm acreage was purchased by Witkins Hunt in 1821. In 1822 Thomas Hunt, father of Jesse M. Hunt, bought the property from Witkins. The original portion of the house consisted of two rooms up and two rooms down. The room on the extreme left is the kitchen and was added by the Hunts. The section to the right was added by the Hunts."--from field notes
