- Jones County, Nov. 27-30, 1957. Men participate in the sesquicentennial celebration of Jones County designed to encourage men to grow beards. Men visiting Kitchens Barber Shop on Clinton Street who did not have a beard were arrested by the sheriff and then put in the stock. Clayton Kitchens is holding the gun.
