- Millen, 1981. Water tank constructed in 1918 by the Central of Georgia Railroad to serve steam locomotives. Water for the tank was pumped a mile from Buckhead Creek. After diesel locomotives arrived, the tank was abandoned.
2003/07/01: The Central of Georgia railroad was founded in 1833 as Central Railroad and Canal Company of Georgia. It had tracks in Georgia, Alabama, Florida, and Tennessee. It exists today as part of the Norfolk Southern Corporation. - External Identifiers:
