- Johnson County, 1920-1930s. Dock Kemp poses for this photograph while sitting at the wheel of his automobile. Mr. Kemp was born and lived near Spann, Georgia. He was a farmer and a storekeeper. It is said that the first consolidated school built for black students in Johnson County was named for him.
