- Hancock County, ca. 1890-1900. Edward Brooking Brown. During the Civil War he served in Co. A, 6th Regiment Georgia Volunteer Infantry. He was Marshall of Sparta, Ga., for a number of years. Later in his life he raised gamecocks. Note the gamecock pin on his lapel.
