- Gainesville, ca. 1950. Home of Christopher Columbus Sanders located on South Main Street. Sanders served as a colonel of the 24th Regiment Georgia Volunteer Infantry during the Civil War. He was a prominent member of the community. This home was later occupied by Ward's Funeral Home and then by the Bell-Minor Home. It has since been demolished.
