- Gainesville, ca. 1890. Thomas H. Brown, a mail carrier, seen on South Main Street in front of the Arlington Hotel. The hotel was located at the corner of South Main and West Spring Streets. It was built by J. H. Hunt. Note that the streets were not yet paved. The hotel was later known as the Dixie Hunt Hotel.
