- Description:
- Gainesville, 1912. Members of the G. S. G. Club at Brenau College chose this unusual way to pose for a photograph that appeared in the college yearbook, Bubbles. This club was listed in the yearbook only for the year 1912 and information concerning it is unknown. Secret organizations or clubs became fashionable at Brenau ca. 1900. They usually stressed fun rather than scholastic achievement but very little is known about them today. The names of the members, but in no particular order, are as follows: Lillie Thompson, Virginia Jenkins, Fay McGhee, Helen Wilmoth, Edith Johnson, Magnolia Bostwick, Harriet Sawyer, Mary Ellison, Gladys Rhodes, Carobel Glover, Wilie Herring Latrell Williamson, Anna Maxcy Camp, Nina Morris, Delia Thompson, Ethel Haycraft, Grace Hines, Ethel Beasley, Sara Sawyer, Erin Holder.
