- Gainesville, 1919. View of buildings at Brenau College. The school was begun in 1878 as the Georgia Baptist Female Seminary. In 1900 the name was changed to Brenau College.
2003/06/16: In the early 1970's, Brenau created evening and weekend classes for both men and women. In 1992, Brenau College was renamed Brenau University. One of the university's colleges is Women's College which admits females only. - External Identifiers:
