- Buford, May 1897. Bona Allen Tannery as seen from along Tannery Street. All sorts of leather goods were produced at this factory which was part of Bona Allen, Incorporated, founded in 1873. The home of Bona Allen, Senior is seen in the left background. It still stands although all else in this photograph was destroyed by fire in December 1981.
