- Buford, early 1900s. Bona Allen, Junior (standing, right rear) and friends gather around a Christmas tree. Allen's father, Bona Allen, Senior, and his uncle, Robert H. Allen, operated Bona Allen, Incorporated. This concern, founded in 1873, produced saddles, tannery items, glue, and shoes.
