- Buford, ca. 1900. Robert H. Allen sitting in his goat cart and employees of the Bona Allen Harness Shop. Robert H. Allen and his brother, Bona Allen, Senior, operated Bona Allen, Incorporated. The concern, founded in 1873, produced saddles, tannery items, glue, and shoes. Robert, who was lame, traveled by goat cart.
2003/06/19: Downtown Buford hosts the Historic Buford Antiques Market every third weekend of each month in the restored Bona Allen Shoe Factory complex. The factory burned down in Dec. 1981. - External Identifiers:
