- Greene County, mid 1890s. James Billingslea Park, Jr. (1854-1943). He held a number of civic and political positions such as judge in the Ocmulgee Circuit and membership in the Georgia House of Representatives. He is seen in the photograph in his military uniform of the "Greene Rifles." This was a local guard unit that was ready to serve in the Spanish American War if called upon. Note the type of tent used by this military unit.
