- Scull Shoals, 1976. Ruins of a structure at Scull Shoals. In 1810 Zachariah Sims established a paper mill here on the Oconee River. It was later converted into a ginnery and still later a cotton mill was operated. The ruins may be those of a cotton warehouse.
