- Penfield, 1940s? Chapel built ca. 1845 by David Demorest as part of Mercer Institute. Mercer Institute was begun in 1833. In 1837 its name became Mercer University. In 1871, the institution was moved to Macon. The chapel was given to the Penfield Baptist Church.
