- Calhoun, 1892. W. Laurens Hillhouse and his mule named Knox standing in the Harbin peach orchard. This area is now the residential section of Hillcrest Drive.
2003/06/25: Hillhouse helped with the construction of the Gordon County Courthouse which was completed in 1889, the Calhoun National Bank (1892), a memorial to honor Civil War and World War I soldiers (ca. 1927), a statue of Sequoyah, Calhoun Presbyterian Church (1921), a fountain located near the Calhoun Woman's Club cabin (1910), as well as numerous homes located in and around Calhoun. - External Identifiers:
